PM Modi to meet Nawaz Sharif on July 10 in Ufa
PM Modi to meet Nawaz Sharif on July 10 in Ufa: His Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet on July 10 on the sidelines of the SCO Summit in Ufa.
According to sources, the two leaders, who’ll attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit, will be meeting on the sidelines of it. But, the information on the assembly were not formally confirmed.
Sharif and modi had met at the SAARC Summit in Kathmandu in November where they didn’t, nevertheless, hold any bilateral assembly.
Previously at the start of the sacred month of Ramzan, while stressing the necessity for having peaceful and bilateral ties, the Prime Minister had called Sharif and offered his best wishes. During his telephonic conversation, Modi had conveyed to his Pakistani counterpart the decision to release in India detained Pakistani fishermen.
The call was seen by many as an effort to reach out to Pakistan after leaders from both sides exchanged sharp opinions after Modi’s critical remarks about Pakistan as well as in the aftermath of India’s military action in Myanmar.
